Who are we ?

The Junior Programme is an opportunity for young professionals to work in the field and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We offer them a professional field experience in a development project of a Belgian development cooperation player. This experience is based on our values of citizenship, professionalism and personal development.

This Programme is managed by Enabel, the Belgian development agency. It implements Belgium’s governmental cooperation. The agency also implements actions for other national and international donors. With its partners in Belgium and abroad Enabel offers solutions addressing pressing global challenges: Climate Change, Urbanisation, Human Mobility, Peace and Security, Economic and Social Inequality, and Global Citizenship. With 1,500 staff, Enabel manages about 150 projects in twenty countries, in Belgium, Africa and the Middle East.

Who we work with

Our partnership with non-governmental actors grows each year. In 2019, Autre Terre, Kiyo and Memisa joined us. And Echos Communication in 2020. To date, we have 27 non-governmental actors (NGAs) partnering with the Junior Program. Our partners host Junior Experts in their projects, with the exception of Acodev and NGO-Federatie, the representatives of the NGAs.

You will find an overview of the different organizations in the summary table with the link to their respective websites.
